Riverbend Ultimate Frisbee Club

Now recruiting Middle School students (grades 6-8) to play for the Spring season (March - May) of 2026.  Ultimate Frisbee is a co-ed sport.  All are welcome from Brookfield, Riverside, Lyons, Berwyn, and beyond. Click here for more information.

Logo for the Riverbend Concert Series

The Riverbend Friday Night Concert Series will resume next month!  Doors  opening at 6, concert at 6:30 in the Riverside Presbyterian Church sanctuary.  Suggested donation $20 per person and curated/emceed by Kara Kesselring.  Hop off the Metra after work, grab a drink at Vinette, Riverside's newest train station wine shop, make a reservation at one of downtown Riverside's neighborhood restaurants, or bring the whole family to a hot night of music!

Preschool Fundraiser: Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament open to the community, February 21, 6:00 pm

Scout Pancake Breakfast: March 7

Strawberry Ice Cream Social:  July 15, 6:00 - 8:00 pm on the church lawn

Youth Mission Trip:  July 19-24 in partnership with First Presbyterian Church of La Grange 

Messiah Concert:  December 13, 4:00 pm.

Christmas-eve Service: December 24th, 4:00 pm.  

Church Activities:  

  • Our children’s choir, the Scottswood Singers, rehearses Wednesdays from 4:14 - 5:15 pm September-May with monthly performances in worship.  
  • Our adult choir rehearses on Wednesdays 7:00 - 8:00 pm, Labor Day through Pentecost.  
  • Confirmation, typically for students in the 8th grade (7th or 9th is fine too) begins in September of each year with Confirmation Sunday on Pentecost (May or June). 
  • Summer Camps:  Weekly day-camp for preschool and elementary aged students during 8 weeks of summer break.  
  • Membership classes are 6 weeks at a time, usually in the spring and fall. 
  • Worship services at Cantata and Caledonia assisted living facilities are coordinated monthly Saturdays by our Deacons, September through May.  
  • Riverside Presbyterian Church Preschool website contains information on registration, fundraisers and special events. 
  • Scouting Troop 24 website contains information on their campouts, pinewood derby, pancake breakfast (March 7), and service projects.
